A visual artist for over 20 years, Lee LaBier was born in New York and currently lives in Colorado. She holds a Bachelor of Art History Degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton and a BFA in Photography from Metropolitan State University of Denver.
Her artworks draw on personal events as the dominant theme of her confessional art expressing the formation and transitions of identity and memory through the use of photography, video and installation.
Experienced with working with artists and fine arts organizations, she is currently the Director of Estate & Gift Planning for the Joellyn T. Duesberry Collection and Gallery Director at Michele Mosko Fine Art.
Formerly the Curator of MOCA in Virginia, she curated and designed over 60 exhibitions of contemporary art and as Curatorial Administrator for the Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation in Los Angeles she organized and traveled with exhibitions nationally from the collection, executed collections management and a sculpture conservation project.
