Collection: Taking More Chances Exhibition

Taking More Chances Exhibition features Pastel Society of Colorado’s Master and Signature member pastel artists.

October 21 - November 11, 2022 at Bitfactory Gallery

Bitfactory Gallery presents an exhibition featuring Master and Signature members of the Pastel Society of Colorado (PSC). The Taking More Chances Exhibition is meant to highlight the challenges, experimentation, and growth of artists at this level while they explore subject, technique or format within the soft-pastel medium. Each participating artist submitted a group of three to five pieces which demonstrate a unified style, focus or presentation that presented a new challenge for themselves—their creative journey with these pieces will be highlighted in a statement presented with the work.

The public is invited to view and purchase work at Bitfactory Gallery, 851 N Santa Fe Dr for the run of the show, October 21–November 11, 2022, during regular gallery hours Tuesday–Saturday, 11:30 am–3 pm, by appointment, and for the following special events:

Opening Reception/Awards Presentation: Friday, October 21, 2022, 6 pm – 9 pm.
First Friday Art Walk, November 4, 2022, 6 pm - 9 pm.

Pastel Society of Colorado is a non-profit formed in 1994 by six artists to promote pastel artists, the soft pastel medium and to encourage the appreciation and art of pastel painting. With membership now counting 67, it is has become a far-reaching organization, uniting artists across the Rocky Mountains and beyond. It is run completely by volunteer members. The biennial Signature and Master Exhibition was created in 2015 to feature the paintings of PSC members who have achieved this status through juried entrance into national pastel shows, awards received, and service to PSC.
